About Nancy

Welcome to Nancy's Leerlab.
My name is Nancy Kotvis, I am 44 years old and I live in Breda. I am originally from Zeeland, but I think Breda is a wonderful city to live in. I studied Pabo, English second degree and NT2 (Dutch as a second language). I am quite adventurous and have lived abroad a lot. For example, I did my graduation internship from the Pabo in India and I taught English in China for two years. In addition, I worked on a cruise ship for 4 years in entertainment for children and young people. I love cats, carnival and mosaics.

What kind of teacher am I?
I am a teacher who can explain things with a lot of patience and calm, even if it is for the 12th time.
I specialize in Trauma Sensitive Teaching and have respect for everyone. I don't care where you come from, what you believe or who you like, everyone is equal in my eyes.

Homer the cat

If you choose to have private lessons or small group lessons at my home, you will meet my cat Homer. He is super sweet and will try to distract you from your studies in exchange for a cuddle. Don't like cats that much? Then Homer can also go upstairs or outside to play, no problem.
